Makers' Block 2015

Singapore's largest ground-up Maker Festival

"Makers' Block 2015" is the largest ground-up maker festival in Singapore to date.

The event, organised by the OneMaker Group - OMG Pte Ltd, in partnership with the The RICE Company Limited serves to celebrate the creativity and innovation of ordinary citizens in Singapore. Taking place over a period of 3 weeks at the newly-renovated 5,000 sqft space at the Pavillion@Far East Square from 7 to 29 Nov 2015.

The event serves to break down the barriers between the art, design and technology domains so that more opportunities for creative collaborations can be forged. It will be a fun and educational experience for both adults and families.

There will be a makers' market held throughout the duration of the event to pay homage to/bring back the Sg Road flea market experience. Both amateur and established artists, designers, hobbyists and vendors will set up their booths side-by-side, showcasing & sharing their unique creations. Weekend highlights include drone combat competition, 3D printing shoot-out, on-spot DIY crafting, food hacking demonstration, learning journeys and mini-workshops.

A total of 100 makers both local and regional will joining in the festival. Admission is free. Each workshop participant will be given an Experience Passport that looks a lot like an actual Singapore passport except that it used only to record payment and completion of any workshop participated.

The Makers’ Block is supported by the Singapore Makers Association Ltd, Home-Fix XPC, Sustainable Living Lab (SL2), Simplifi3D and MakerAsia.
